Language & Culture Minor
There are two Language/Culture Minor options that a student will be able to pursue: (1) Francophone and (2) Hispanic. Students will be required to take 16 hours of language courses (French or Spanish) and then complete the minor by taking 12 hours of courses that constitute the “culture” component. Here is an example of the proposed structure. A student pursuing the Francophone Minor would take French courses that would fit in a curriculum sheet for Elective (BUS), Elective (BUS), Elective (AHBS), Elective (NON-BUS), and Elective (NON-BUS). The remaining electives would be completed in the Elective ( HIST), Elective (BHSC), Elective (ARTS), and Elective (LITERATURE) slots. Of the “culture” courses, only those selected from a specific list would be allowed to complete the minor. Courses available in the UL France Program would also count towards the minor.
