"To the daily practice of accounting, finance, information systems, management, hospitality management, and marketing graduates, law is inescapable and omnipresent. It supports, facilitates, and regulates successful business practice in all of the functional areas." Legal Studies courses offered in the Moody College of Business Administration serve all business majors as well as majors from other colleges in the University. The purpose of these courses is to prepare the business student to recognize legal issues such that he/she can prevent legal problems if possible, or know when to call an attorney. Areas covered in the courses include contracts, business organizations, employer/employee relations, securities regulations, oil and gas law, environmental law, international law, and intellectual property.

Career Preparation

All of these courses are excellent preparation for any major in business, and particularly to students who will take the CPA exam and to those who will attend law school.

Faculty

All legal studies faculty are required to have earned a Juris Doctorate and be licensed to practice law.
