The B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration organized into five academic departments offers nine majors for the undergraduate business degree. The college also offers the graduate business MBA degree with an option to concentrate in Healthcare Administration. Our programs are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and AACSB International. About 3000 undergraduate and 200 graduate students attend the Moody College of Business Administration. In addition to the traditional business majors, unique curriculum choices include majors in insurance and risk management, hospitality management, and professional land and resource management, as well as the minors in francophone and hispanic language and culture.

The College of Commerce, established in 1952 at UL Lafayette, was renamed the College of Business Administration in 1980 and with the generous endowment of B.I. Moody III became the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration in 2003. The 2006 edition of America’s Best Value Colleges, a Princeton Review/Random House college guidebook, featured the University of Louisiana, Lafayette as one of America’s Best Value Colleges. As a Carnegie Doctoral Research University, UL Lafayette offers 79 undergraduate degree programs, 26 masters degree programs, and nine doctoral programs through its eight colleges.

We are fortunate to have a team of committed and dedicated faculty and staff. We are also blessed with very strong alumni and community relationships. Not surprisingly therefore, the student opportunities, both co-curricular and extra-curricular, are tremendously enriching. These avenues range from global experiences, internships, service-learning opportunities (nearly 150 community and not-for-profit projects), to participation in any of the sixteen active academic and social student organizations within the college, not to mention a whole host of other choices elsewhere in the University. To facilitate the professional and personal development of our students, there is a great deal of individual interaction and advising provided by a caring faculty and staff. To support all these activities, the college enjoys the physical and technological infrastructure of a brand new building with smart classrooms and labs providing a truly “high-tech” learning environment.
