On Friday, September 25, 2009 the Department of Accounting and the Acadiana Chapter of the Society of Louisiana CPAs will host the first annual Speed Interview Day in Moody Hall.
One of the latest techniques to hit the job market, speed interviewing, much like speed dating, allows groups of employers and candidates to engage in brief screening interviews and form the all important first impression. Candidates and employers who make the right connection during the rapid fire interview session will have the option of moving on to a more traditional full-length interview.
Speed interviewing exposes hiring companies to a large number of applicants in a short timeframe, thereby maximizing the chance of hiring a qualified candidate. Accounting majors will be able to interact with a large number of potential employers, as well have the opportunity to enhance their interview skills. |
